About Me

Hello, My name is Dawn Ferrigno, and welcome to my website.
My earliest memory of travel was finding my mom’s atlas and being astonished at how big the world was. I would read about all the new countries and cities I discovered. I eventually began to keep journals of the places I wanted to visit and even wrote down hotel names and restaurants. I remember telling my sister in high school that I wanted to live in a different country a month at a time to experience their way of life, language, and customs.
After 24 years as a dental hygienist, I left my job to pursue my passion for travel and help others explore the world.
I transitioned to a remote work lifestyle, packed up my things, and finally started living my high school dream. So far, I’ve lived a month at a time in eight countries (some in multiple cities), including Italy (Aosta, Lucca & Burano), Croatia (Dubrovnik), The Bahamas (Long Island), Norway (Andenes), France (Chamounix), Andorra (Pas de la Casa), Thailand (Chiang Mai), and Indonesia (Bali).
I just recently moved to the Big Island of Hawaii after living most of my life in New York.
On this site, I will share my travel stories, tips, new locations to discover, travel guides, and insights into my travel planning process.
Join me as I share my stories in Take Time Travel The World.
